From dining to new chairlifts, Telluride is seeing change in the box canyon this winter season.
In the town of Telluride, Main Street is bustling with new life. Between the Covers Bookstore has moved a few storefronts down and has more than doubled its size. What used to be Zia Sun has been opened into the bookstore as well as new coffee shop, Bruno. Now the only coffee shop on Main Street, Bruno is a great spot to grab a coffee, breakfast burrito, or pastry on the go, or cozy up in a window table with a good book for the morning.
Further down Columbia st, the newest dining experience in town, Kazahana Sushi Telluride, has opened its doors. Chef Naoki Takahashi is bringing authentic Japanese cuisine and sushi to the box canyon in this hot new spot. From fresh nagiri to matcha tiramisu, it’s a great spot for your taste buds to transport yourself out of Telluride.
Telluride Angler has also moved locations on Main Street int the old Phoenix Bean storefront. The new space is spacious and allows the guys at Telluride Angler to showcase their unique offering of not only fly rods, reel, and gear, but apparel from your favorite companies like Patagonia, Howler Bros, Simms, and so much more. You have to stop by this winter and talk Telluride and book an outdoor excursion trip, guided fly-fishing or snowmobiling.
On the mountain, Telski is hard at work on the new Plunge Lift that is slated to open this holiday season. This high speed quad chairlift will bring skiers and riders up the iconic lift 9 terrain in a matter of minutes. Get those legs ready, because there are going to be many more powder day laps to be had this year.
