Jake grew up just down the road in Delta, Colorado, making him a true lifelong local of Colorado’s Western Slope. A Daniels Scholar and former Colorado Mesa University basketball player, he graduated with honors in Marketing, Hospitality Management, and Entrepreneurship - an uncommon blend that mirrors the diverse demands of a world-class mountain real estate market.
Since beginning as an intern with the O’Neill Stetina Group in 2015, Jake has been a core contributor to the sales success of major development projects including Element 52, Bear Creek Reserve, Transfer Telluride, and Cimarron Mountain Club. More recently as Junior Partner, he has played a lead role in the successful roll out and sale of the Highline Residences which are scheduled for completion in 2027 and is part of the team representing the forthcoming Summit Residences and Four Seasons Telluride. In addition to large project experience, Jake has worked with numerous Buyers and Sellers in helping navigate their investment in the Telluride area and is immensely grateful to have many of those clients become longtime friends. In 2024, Jake designed and built his family’s home, planting lasting Telluride roots for he and his family and learning invaluable first-hand lessons about land use, permitting and approvals, and construction in the process. His deep local insight and hands-on experience make him a trusted resource for both longtime homeowners and buyers discovering Telluride for the first time.
Outside of real estate, Jake is an avid skier, mountain biker, archery elk hunter and obsessive fly fisherman who spends shoulder seasons in deserts, mountains, and rivers across the West with his wife Sonja, (a born and raised Telluride local), their two-year-old daughter and their golden retriever, Birdie. If you ever want to get Jake’s attention just ask him about Chair 14 powder stashes, local cutthroat streams or riding mountain bikes with his family.
